On the "build first, invoice second" mentality — I'm with you. Change Orders are for genuine scope expansion (adding a new phase, building subscription/billing infrastructure, etc.), not for the small fixes, brainstorms, and gap-filling that any real product work depends on. Within the agreement's spirit, I expect to roll up my sleeves on those — that's the only way 8 weeks turns into something good. The note you sent about why you're doing this told me a lot about how we'll work together. Mine back at you.

On the fee — for the full Phase 1-4 scope in Article II, with the Article VIII security and infra requirements, and given that equity stays a July 1 review discussion, here's where I land:

  Payment 1 (Kickoff, May 15):      $5,000
  Payment 2 (Milestone Alpha, June 16): $15,000
  Payment 3 (P3 + P4 infra, July 1):    $15,000
  Payment 4 (Final, July 15):           $13,000

That's roughly $130/hour at the realistic 380 hours this scope demands across 8 weeks, which is in line with senior contractor rates here for full-stack TypeScript + AI orchestration work of this scale. Happy to walk through the breakdown on Sunday if helpful — and I'm flexible if the budget needs a small adjustment, as long as we land somewhere both of us feel is fair.

On the small Israeli town — thank you for what you wrote. You didn't have to slow down for that, and you did, and that matters.

Sunday May 10 at 10:30 AM EST (17:30 my time) — confirmed. I'll be home and ready by then. (Heads up: I'll be coming off a long route earlier in the day, so if you'd ever prefer Monday May 11 at the same time, that's even cleaner on my side — but Sunday is locked unless you say otherwise.)

A few small items for the call so they don't surprise either of us:
1. The Late Delivery clause (3.4) — 7 days feels tight given the timeline; want to discuss small flexibility.
2. The independent-contractor indemnification (7.3.4) — small wording question given Israeli tax context.
